YomaBarr Navigate clean vocals at the beginning, take a deep breath and jump. Beyond this vessel are worlds between.

For genrists: basically sludgy postwhatevercore but genre tags don't do this justice. That's what I love about Bandcamp: you're looking for something quite else, you emerge with a gem in your mouth.

Metallurgical Fire, listen to this. Favorite track: Cold Bloom.

Matt James Wow. Just wow.
The Midnight Toker.

The Midnight Toker. Elegant and relaxing instrumentation at times leaves you in the lull then comes the crushing left hook after the build up reaches its crescendo.
Stunning. Favorite track: Divide.

jameswimbridge I really love this album. Reminds me a lot of Isis and Neurosis. Look forward to seeing Cascades live again.

Whitewater 09:15
While we are away Our home, on fire Vast tracts of fuel Aflame For months Thin casts Of ash Burn Like shame Like whitewater Smoke roils, curling On and on Droplets, embers Waves of coals Coat the lungs Prick the eyes Without cease No relent Until all is blackened, drowned Until all is black and drowned
2.
Ceaseless 08:51
Light radiates Time evaporates This hunching sickness carried always Thought dissipates We incarcerate; Poison carried in the purse Recording always: Our bodies, our fantasies Our worries, medical concerns Ceaselessly repeating: Our habits, our families Our dreams, laid bare Out for sale Ceaseless and surveilled
3.
Divide 08:00
A disconnect so clean Safe there in the embrace Of wealth so complete Content, we live like this The white of your eyes and the white of your neck I feel such disgust Mouth breather, bottom feeder, DIVIDE Credit dealer, profit stealer, DIVIDE Of course it comes to this The red of your eyes and the red of your neck I feel such disgust Helpless Our hands stay unextended My sneer My dignity Our... DIVIDE

Production / destruction to a colossal extent. Turbulent growth foreshadows collapse. Our climate is changing, our forests are shrinking. Tenfold the damage, in just fifty years. It's all been intoned before In history the sentiment repeated again and again. Wealth. Progress. Greed. Trumps the future needs of earth, and man. Two rampant centuries unchecked. Now, is there hope for transformation? From the top down they fleece While glowing screens hold all attention.
5.
Yearn 05:55
Blades turn, stomach churns. Money earned, no concern. Filthy hands and blackened skies. Vacant stares through dollar-sign eyes. Millions scream through poisoned lungs. We yearn, they burn.

about

"Guitar feedback warbles into riffs without a moment’s notice and synthesizers push themselves to the breaking point, clipping through the mix and adding textures of static to the building instrumental crescendos. When the going gets heavy, the charismatic, rhythmic energy of the drum pulses more at the tempo of post-hardcore, even as the band plays their sludgy post-metal, and this brings with it a sense of barely-contained chaos and aggression that’s rarely found in the climactic push-pull sway of such a slow, lumbering genre."

- Heavy Blog Is Heavy

"The perfect mix of haunting atmospheres, devastating heaviness and melancholic swathes."

- Echoes and Dust

Recorded and mixed late 2016 by Joel Taylor at The Black Lodge, Melbourne.
